But for Jackie, her early 20s had a first she couldn’t have anticipated: her first interaction with the workers’ compensation system.

A serious workplace injury fundamentally rerouted Jackie’s life journey. Jackie has evolved from her roots as a national equestrian competitor to emerge as a nationally respected allied health professional and advocate for workers. Jackie now works as a Senior Occupational Therapist with Procare Group in South Australia.
Successful RTW is more than managing symptoms. It need supportive environments that help people rebuild their sense of empowerment, find meaning in their work and reconstruct their professional identity.
